Steps to Become a Member

IDSA Membership is on an annual basis from your date of joining. As an Individual Member all our events, executive master classes and activities are free of charge. IDSA support our members by providing top quality events and executive master class on a regular basis by providing professional certification to our members, free and paid tailored courses, through annual and regular events and awards.

Check your education, skills and experience if they are in line with IDSA certification requirements;
Pay the required admission processing/membership fee (terms and conditions apply) for all categories of membership, and proceed to;
Apply for IDSA membership, uploading evidence of your experience including your CV and academic qualifications;
IDSA Membership and Certification Committee (IMCC) meet to review your applications. IMCC meet once in a week to review and consider membership applications;
Received full or partial acceptance letter stating the next line of action.
If qualified, attend one of the IDSA events and take the next steps in your career.

What is the membership process?

If you believe you already have the requisite education, skills and experience to qualify as a professional in your chosen field, you can register for membership and upload evidence of your experience and qualifications (Degrees, Diplomas, Curriculum Vitae, LinkedIn profile, Employers References) to IDSA Membership and Certifications Committee for review.

How long does it take?

IDSA IMCC sits once in a week. Fully completed applications for membership will be reviewed at that meeting. Candidates will be informed shortly thereafter. You can expect to hear back from IDSA within five working days. There will be four induction ceremonies and four-quarterly training workshops every year.

Who is on the Membership Committee?

Our Membership Committee includes senior experts from our IDSA Advisory Council both locally and internationally.

Does the Membership Fee include the training?

No. The membership fee includes assessment, the award of the qualification, library, development levy and listing on IDSA Professional Register, once qualified. Only a one-off induction training will be scheduled and qualified applicants must attend.
